(The workshop will be held in English)
How can art contribute to a vibrant democracy? And what does it mean to mobilise your body, voice, and emotions in the public sphere?
Within the framework of Kennisnesten(VUB) and in collaboration with BrIAS (ULB/VUB), we warmly invite you to Performing the Public Body Through Art: a participatory four-day workshop on performance, public space, and democratic practice, guided by artistic researcher and performance maker Danae Theodoridou.
During this workshop, 35 participants will explore—through simple exercises in movement, writing, thinking, and speaking—how art can open up new forms of public participation and democratic dialogue. The workshop series will conclude with a public performative restitution as part of Crossing Wires, in collaboration with Ohme.
