About
Play*e*r*s is a collective of scientists and experts (from both academic and non-academic backgrounds) dedicated to strengthening the role of play in pedagogy, research, and society. Its name highlights the connection between education, research, and society, reflecting a shared ambition to recognise play as a meaningful tool for mediation and intermediation, capable of generating knowledge, dialogue, and social impact.
The collective brings together expertise and resources from within and beyond ULB, forming a dynamic and growing community of practice around playful initiatives. By encouraging collaboration across disciplines, Play*e*r*s supports the development of projects that explore play as a tool for learning, experimentation, and societal engagement.
Integrated into the activities of OpenLab.Brussels, Player*s is conceived as an incubator for games addressing real‑world challenges. Its two main objectives
- structure and formalize the community of practice by mapping existing knowledge, skills, and resources
- organize events and workshops that foster exchange and collaboration within and beyond the university community.
