(This event will be held in French)
We are pleased to share information about this event as OpenLab.Brussels is taking part in the roundtable as a speaker, represented by Samia Ben Rajeb, who will present on the topic of cultural mediation.
On the occasion of the exhibition The Symphony of Us, the Health Sciences Library, ULB Culture and the Health Hub are pleased to invite you to a roundtable discussion on Medical Humanities.
Created through a co-creative process involving patients, the exhibition The Symphony of Us offers an immersive journey into the experience of illness through a village of tipis featuring photographs, videos, wellness spaces and artistic installations. It highlights the stories, emotions and lived experiences of people affected by illness, while emphasizing the importance of human connection and peer support.
Building on the themes explored in the exhibition, this afternoon of discussions will examine various approaches within the field of Medical Humanities that encourage new ways of thinking about care, including cultural mediation, narrative medicine, artistic expression and resilience.
