About
The ‘Wetenschapswinkel’ is a project run by the Vrije Universiteit Brussel, the University of Antwerp and, since the 2021–2022 academic year, KU Leuven. It offers support to non-profit organisations through academic research carried out by students as part of a project or final thesis. The students address the research question in collaboration with the organisation and under the supervision of an experienced researcher. Wetenschapswinkel brings together the student, the organisation and the supervisor, and acts as a mediator between these parties.
The result is a win-win situation: scientifically sound and practical research for the organisation, and a socially relevant research experience for the student!
The student also gains an understanding of the professional field and builds a network.
